The Dumbest I've Read in a Long Time

I just read this article on MSN about parents hosting swine flu parties so that their children can be exposed to people with the flu.  All I have to say about that is WTF are they thinking.  Crazy.  I can't understand the reasoning behind purposefully exposing your child to any illness, let alone one that has so many unknowns at this time.

Ok, so I heard about this the other day and I was telling my mom how ridiculous it was. And she just laughed it off because it sounded like parties people used to have when I was little: Chicken Pox parties. They'd get together to pass the chicken pox on! She never admitted to taking me to any, and I guess I believe her since I was one of the first of my friends to get it.

I am still repulsed.

Isn't that dumb! Stupid people think the flu is like the chicken pox or something? You can catch things like that more than once! Not to mention how awful to get your kids sick on purpose!

Chicken pox parties I understand. Expose your kid once and more than likely that's it.

However, expose a kid to the flu of any kind and that poor kid can get the flu the two weeks later and then a month later and so on and so forth. Why take the chance when ultimately it can take out the parents as well who then are at risk and not able to provide as well for another sick child? It's asinine!

I wonder if they would expose their children to HIV too. Stupid. Thanks for your comment on my blog and the link! I really appreciate it.

Here from Mel's. I can't believe this. It's just like that South Park episode where all the kids get chicken pox. It is indeed crazy.
