Samuel is now 3 1/2 weeks old and growing like a weed. When he went to the doctor earlier this week, he was up to 10 lbs, 5 oz. (up 2 lbs from his birth weight). He goes for his one month check up (and his first round of shots) next week. I am hoping he does ok with his shots. We have our first post-placement visit scheduled for Oct. 25. We have to do two of them before the adoption can be finalized. Texas requires a six month wait for finalization so we are looking at the end of February, early March for finalization. I hope that the termination of paternal rights happens in the next month or two so that will not slow up the finalization.
Davis is adjusting really well. He loves being a big brother. He is so helpful and whenever Samuel cries he tells us and tries to figure out what he may need. It is so cute.
Attached are a few pictures of my boys and a video taken today of Samuel in his crib for the first time.

What great pictures! Both your boys are so beautiful! I love the video. Loren was watching it with me and he said "Wow he is really active for 3 1/2 weeks old." I said well he was over due so maybe he is closer to 5 weeks old. :D he he he Anyway congrats guys. I am so happy for you!
Love the pics! I registered for the same mobile!
That's a cool mobile. The boys look great.
I asked the same thing of our finalization since we didn't have TPR (termination parental rights) until almost 2 months after placement. They said the 6 months is just for supervision and the TPR won't delay finalization in any way.
So cute Kelly!! And love that mobile! We had it with Parker who loved it and now Laney loves it. If yours happens to stop turning, you can call tiny love and they will send you a new music box for $10 and it will work again! Ours went out after about a month of using it and replaced that and it is like new again!
Congratulations on your little boy! What a cutie.
Thinking of you, the kids and R during this time of transition.

Congrats!! Those cheeks are so adorable.
Hope everyone is adjusting well.
I just read your entire blog, what a story! Hubbs and I have recently made the decision to adopt instead of IVF and your agency is one that we are looking at as well. I would love to hear your thoughts on them and the whole process.
Congrats on your beautiful baby boy!
